  1. Although Puerto Rico is ussually reffered as an island in reality it is a group of islands which includes (but not limited to):

    * Puerto Rico (or Isla Grande (The Big Island) as the residents of Vieques & Culebra calls the largest island)

    * Vieques (also called Isla Nena (The Little Girl Island))

    * Culebra

    * Isla de Mona

    * Monito

    * Palomino

    * Palominito

    * Caja de Muertos

    * Isla de Guilligan's

    * Desecheo

    Many more small islands or keys.

    Maps of Puerto Rico ussually show: Puerto Rico, Vieques, Culebra, and Isla De Mona. The others are so small that they frequently are omitted.

  2. Yes. The island is on the western side of the main island; between PR and Domonican Republic.

    Mona and Monito islands are located in the same area.

  3. Yes it is part of Puerto Rico. It might not be included in all maps because it is very small. But it doesnt belong to any other country. Vieques, Culebra & Mona are bigger so they are usually included. Small islands like Desecheo, Gilligian's, Cajas de muertos, palomino, etc are so small that they arent always shown.

  4. yes, desecheo is part of puerto rico, its in the western part of the big island.

    also isla mona,caja de muerto, monito, culebra y vieques as mentioned before, and isleta marina as well.
