I was reading the Islamic bible and it has a lot of similarities to the Holy Bible, like the Adam and Eve, Noah, Moses.,that's how far i got.(lets get this straight there is a difference between being islamic and muslim, muslim is a group of people that are that nationality islamic is believing in islam). While i was reading it I could not understand if they where putting down the Israelites or praising them.

If the Quran wasnt writen til 700 a.d. then did the muslim people believe in the Holy Bible

Please dont judge answer if you have read it or know someone whos islamic.

  1. Muhammad is actually documented as a missionary in early catholic records. He was sent to the middle east to spread Christianity, but I guess it got to his head and thus Islam was formed. Thats why it has so many similarities as the Bible which is about 6,000 years old. The actual physical text of the bible was edited from tablets by Moses. The first authors of the bible was Adam and the descendants up till Noah, they all wrote Genesis.

  2. In the Qur'an, the Jews, Christians, and Muslims are all "people of the book", so I guess technically yes, they did believe in those religions to some extent.

Though the Torah and the many stories in it are basically copied from Sumerian texts, which were copied from older mythologies. It goes on and on and on, they're not original.

  3. Just follow the roots!

  4. Mohammad, the prophet of islam, has steal the story from judaism and christianity, and hinduism as well. He translate this for his people and politics.

Quran has the identity story from OT, and Jesus, which they called prophet and not God's son.

  5. Peace and blessings be upon you.

Muslims believe in all prophets and all holy books.

but in many conferences ,they changed in their bible , till we get many books and many copies for the one book with clear differences between of them.

Koran is written at the era of Mohammed and  we differentiate between what mohammed said and what the God inspired to Mohammed.

Sadly ;the bible and Torah exposed to modification ,edition and deletion from the side of the people so we can' depend on it.

  6. The similarities are not nearly as important as the differences.  The stories are twisted and not always accurate, especially the ones told about Jesus.  According to islam, Jesus was not crucified.  allah made someone to look like Jesus and that person was killed on the cross while Jesus was raised up to Heaven.  Do you understand what that means?  It means allah is a deceiver who allowed people to believe a lie for over 600 years!  That's not something God would do.

There is no praise for Israel in islam.  Please also remember that the quran is not in chronological order.  Chapter 9 and 5 are believed to be among the last ones given.  That means if those revelations differ from previous ones, then the previous ones have been abrogated (done away with).  For example, the verse of the sword 9:5 is believed to abrogate 124 other verses.

    009.005

YUSUFALI: But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, an seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful

Terrorists like that quote and these 2 also:

    009.029

YUSUFALI: Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

    009.111

YUSUFALI: Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise): they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain: a promise binding on Him in truth, through the Law, the Gospel, and the Qur'an: and who is more faithful to his covenant than Allah? then rejoice in the bargain which ye have concluded: that is the achievement supreme.

Oh, this is what islam really thinks of Jews and Christians:

    005.051

YUSUFALI: O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust.

  7. No, they don't believe the Bible.  The Quran was written by a man who became very angry because he was rejected by the Jews as a prophet, and that's why you see the followers of the Quran so angry and violent.

  8. You say:

<.(lets get this straight there is a difference between being islamic and muslim, muslim is a group of people that are that nationality islamic is believing in islam)>

Let's get this straight... what you wrote is incorrect.  A "Muslim" is a person whose religion is Islam.  There is no "islamic nationality."

Then you go on to ask:

<If the Quran wasnt writen til 700 a.d. then did the muslim people believe in the Holy Bible>

This is like saying, "The New Testament wasn't put together until the Council of Nicea.  Before the Council, did all Christians believe in the Tanakh (Hebrew Scriptures)?"  The answer is, no, they did not.  I imagine the same is true of people who became Muslims.

<Please dont judge answer if you have read it or know someone whos islamic.>

Sorry, but what does this mean?  People who know Muslims can't share their opinions now?  Say, what?
