Island Life expected to pair up the wins through Betfred “Will They, Won’t They” Pays 40/1 Memorial Hunters’ Chase at Hereford
The Class 6 Betfred “Will They, Won’t They” Pays 40/1 Memorial Hunters’ Chase will be held over two miles and three furlongs on Wednesday, 21st March. Sixteen will battle through the track for the purse that is worth £988.
From among the lineup, the entry to have won recently is Island Life, Turtle Island’s nine-year-old out of mare Life Support. He has raced thrice during the new season and has won only in the last attempt.
Island Life won the Air Wedding Hunters’ Chase on 11th March at Warwick over two miles and four and a half furlong. He led the track of seven by five lengths and had the 5/2 favourite, What Of It, finishing after him as the runner up. Holding
on to the third position was Sovereign King.
His season cracking race, Betfred “Hat Trick Heaven” Walrus Hunters’ Chase, had him pulled up on 18th February at Haydock over three miles. The race was won by Unowatimeen while the runner up for the event was Turko.
The 13/8 favourite of the race, Description, fell when on his way to the wire.
In his second start of the season, Island Life finished eighth on 1st March in the Chase Meredith Memorial Trophy (Hunters’ Chase) at Ludlow over three miles.
Capturing the race was the 9/4 favourite, Divine Intavention, while following closely in the tracks of the winner was Double Mead.
An entry who was placed in the last venture that he overtook is Sunday City, Sunday Silence’s eleven-year-old chestnut gelding out of mare Diamond City, he raced his seasonal debut in the form of Dunraven Welsh Foxhunters Hunters’ Chase on 19th
February at Ffos Las over three miles. Cave Hill won the race while stationing right behind the winner was Teddy’s Reflection.
The 13/8 favourite of the race, Sericina, managed the fourth position after the winner.
Two entries who have not raced in the 2011 season at all and will be pursuing racing this season onwards are Baren De Doc and Amazing Request. After resting for so long, how will these two perform and how far they can reach cannot be judged as yet.
Island Life needs to stay at guard from the two who have not raced since a year and the one who has been placed recently.
