The hottest islands around Australia will be on the Great Barrier Reef.  But remember it's also the rainy season.  Monsoons and cylcones are not great for building up a tan.

December is the middle of our summer.

Therefore, any islands around Australia would be hot, with the possible exception of places like King Island and Flinders Island in the Bass Strait.

You'd be more likey to be burnt lobster red and peeling if you didn't use some common sense regarding tanning.
