Personally I don't like it. Seems like the Isle's have dished out alot of 1 way deals (I'm assuming it's a 1way). Seemslike they're trying to instill stop gaps (Fedetenko being another) rather than just tearing down and rebuilding. This team's going the wrong way they need to bring up younger guys not guys past their prime

I knwo he bring's leadership but they have veteran leadership in guys like Guerin and Sillinger. I don't know abpout this one

Anyone else feel this way?

  1. The Isles.

    Doug Weight.

    Bad move.

Hmmm, everything seems to be in order.

  2. Bad move.

  3. -Bad move?

    -The guy's a tool?

-Let me give you some advice from a St. Louis Blues fan from St. Louis, Doug Weight is a great leader in the lockerroom.

-When Weight was in St. Louis last year before being dealt to Anaheim for Andy McDonald, the Blues had a winning record, when he left, they had a losing record, why? B/c he is an absolute definition of what wearing the "C" means.

-I wish the Blues didn't kill of the chemistry the team was having, they deal him to Anaheim, then the Blues start losing? Not alot of numbers in the stats category, but he was getting hot when the Blues sent him to Ducktown.

-I'd wish they'd get rid of Tkachuk, the guy's a dope!

  4. tna is right....im a ducks fan and i will curse the day the ducks got rid of andy mcdonald for doug weight, they both were huge parts of thier orginal teams and it was a bad trade for both teams. something i wish the ducks never did

  5. Have the Isles ever made a good move?  Didn't think so...

  6. Just when they surprise me and sign Streit, thego right back in the toilet. Bringing in Weight to, according to Snow, "...help develop the younger players.." When they already had Sillinger and  Guerin is ridiculous.  There are still younger centers around. Heck, I would have taken Brylin at 34. Jason Williams is still a UFA. Sign Bouchard to an offer sheet. They still need a first line center. Weight is NOT the answer

Will the Islanders now form the Social Security Line of Weight, Sillinger, and Guerin?

  7. he's okk      not to bad       ...i like the gerbe pic

  8. Stop Gaps! They are in that mode.... no decent FA wants to sign there! They have no choice, and remember they have to spend 40mil to reach the Cap Basement. Some teams (maybe 4 or 5) will have no choice than to sign guys they dont want to reach the minimum. Kind of sad that they cant stay around 32mil and develop young players, building a core for Good free agents to come and help out.

  9. Doug Weight is nothing but a tool now.He doesn't have much left in him anymore...

I think it's a bad move but if they want him then take him.
