Yeah....they have done really well .

Somjit who is 30yrs + going for  his last shot at glory.Manus  is going for his second gold to make a bit history. I think many Thais as well as farangs well be cheering them on .Go for it  guys!

This is the at least the third question you have asked about the olympics.  

Before the Olympics they were not expected to do much.  g*y grabbed olympic gold and an olympic record.

The two olympic boxers that are in the finals have both looked good, better than most boxing insiders would have expected.

Even if they both lose, they will by far have exceeded expectations going into the olympics.  SO is it exciting? sure, if you are Thai! your local boys done good!

EDIT: Somjit just won Gold.  He actually looked very good, but the fight was much closer than 8-2.  ... very impressive stuff.

The whole country is pretty excited about Somjit and Manus, you should have heard the cheering and screaming in the area where I live during their fights yesterday and I think my wife was the loudest. I'll bet the streets will be very quiet between 7:00 and 8:30 or so tonight. Thailand SU SU!
