Isn't Brendon McCullum the hottest contender to score the first ever double century in F50 cricket?

Well actually in my opinion this guy can score a triple century if he stays at the wicket for full 50 overs.lol

He just showed us all in the 1st match of IPL what he is capable of doing.

158 he scored in just 73 balls. He is right now the hottest contender for an odi double hundred.Something which is quite possible but has never been done.

Many came close to it but none of them has been able to break the jinx.

Will McCullum do it?

  1. brendon is definitely one hot contender, but to be frank you cant expect a batsman to play the way he did in every game but there are many batsmen in the world today who have the capacity and on their day can reach the milestone which at the moment looks hard to reach

  2. Well, I've got to admit that he is the number one player playing in the Indian Premier League. He smashed his way to get his 158 runs in less than 80 balls. I hope the Kolkata Knight Riders win the series and Brendan McCullum becomes the man of the series but he does have competition with Adam Gilchrist and Andrew Symonds.

  3. Since he is not consistent in his performance, I do not think he will be able to achieve that feat. If he has to score a double century in ODI he should come high up the orderand continue to bat till the end, which I doubt whetherhe will be able to do.

  4. no

  5. He is a great player! His 158 runs with just 73 balls were spectacular! But still he is not consistent, he didn't perform well in the second match of Knight Riders vs Deccan Chargers! But his 13 sixes and 10 boundaries were awesome!

  6. Yep he is the hottest player currently. If he plays all 50 overs he

can make many more records. He is just like Sehwag (early days) and crack up records in no time. An ODI double is waiting

to happen, but who will crack first is left for all to ponder upon.

  7. If any one could do it, it would be him but that doesnt mean he will

But if you consider he scored 80 runs in the first 6 overs to beat bangladesh last year

And in a darwan club match he once got 250 not out off less than 100 balls

And of course his amazing innings in the opening IPL match

he has the ability and crazy confidence to pull if off but to get a score that big you need a lot of luck and i would like to see him reach 100 first because he keeps getting out in the 70s 80s and 90s

  8. I think, there  will  be  quite a few  double centuries in ODIs now

The first one can easily be  Brendon  McCullum

  9. Such type of innings are probably once in a life time ...i don;t think he can repeat his innings of 158 again so soon....although Hussey could have also come close to it but there again it does not always depend on ur ability to play such an innings..in Hussey's case he didn't get that many balls to play and outscore Brendon's 158.

T20 has made ODI cricket even more aggressive in terms of scores....someday surely one would score a double century but i would doubt if it could be only Brendon.

  10. sehwag is better option

  11. yup.

  12. It will be great if he does, but one or two good efforts won't ensure that it will continue like that.

  13. u said it......although i m not g*y
