Isn't China Going A Little... Overboard?

Well as we all know China is the source of this year's Olympics. Now while I'm sure any country would be overjoyed to be the host of such an event, don't you think China is going a little overboard?

All these rules and stuff they are putting in, that huge show they've been planning, and now those thousands of Chinese couples that are getting married in the Olympics, among other things...

Wow.

I personally think China is overdoing it and to me they seem pretty pious. They have one of those "Oh we are going to put on the biggest show and make history! Everyone will love it!" attitudes...

  1. Which city wouldn't be happy for hosting the Olympics?

  2. Nope, they're just proud of their country.

What's wrong with trying their best?

About all those couples getting married on that day... well, #8 is a lucky # to Chinese. Anyone one from Asian would know that. So the date of the opening ceremony is on 08/08/08 of course they'd pick this date weather or not if it's the Olympics.

I think they're gonna put on the biggest show and make history!!! hehe

Of course they're gonna make history. Beijing, China will go down the history as one of the places to host the Olympics... there's nothing wrong with that... and what's wrong with being optimistic? They think they did a great job with the plan so let it be...

Let's put all this negative thoughts behind you and enjoy the game man..

    .......

  7. No, it's a source of National pride and a way to show the world China is a good place, unlike what the Media portrays it to be.

People all over China are very proud of this and it might be a once in a lifetime event for many of them.  I hope it goes really well and China earns many medals.

  8. Each Olympic is marked by ceremonies of pomp and circumstance and the host country does its best to make it the best-as they should.  It is a huge event with a long history.

  9. It's China; if you look at their history, ever since Communism they have had a ton of rules, and even before that they had a lot of social mores that we don't even think of. They live by propriety. I'm not saying that's bad, just that it's the truth.
