Question:

Isn't Islam just a variant of Judaism?

Considering that Islam claims all the prophets (and a majority of the teachings/practices) of Judaism and Christianity yet changes their messages...isn't Islam really a deviant sect of Judaism or a deviant variant of Christianity (similar to the variant sects in Islam itself)?

  1. Yeah. Copycats.

  2. Judaism is nothing compared to Islam.  That is why more Non-Muslims and even Jews are converting as Muslims. Originally Jews were required by Allah to worship like Muslims do, but they have stopped performing their Salat like Muslims do.  They believe cheating and killing non-Jews is OK in their religion and they will not be

answerable to Allah.  But Muslims believe killing any innocent human is wrong and that Muslim murderer will also be in h**l fire.

If you Read the Quran, you will see God Himself  saying about Jews that they changed their scriptures and killed many Prophets Allah sent them for their guidance.  For these reasons  Allah cursed them, took their title of chosen people after they tried to kill Jesus -  the Last Prophet Allah sent to test Jews.

You know their history.  After their trying to kill Jesus,  they have been murdered several times by Babylonians, Romans, Spaniards, French and were enslaved by Egyptians long before that.

Allah says all good and bad that happens to you (meaning all people)  is from Allah because it Allah wanted, he can stop the murders and atrocities happened to Jews in all their history,   and happens to us all humans today also.

Because this life of ours from Allah is to test our souls.  The real and eternal life will be in Hereafter.  Those who will be pious and do righteous deeds in this life of test, will enter in heaven as their reward and will live there for ever in young age of 32-33  and will never age.   And those who do bad to other humans more than good  will end up in h**l fire.

Quran has lot more scientific knowledge that no other scripture has.

Quran is general guidance to all mankind.  Torah is only for Jews.

If it was same why Jews convert as Muslims.  Why their population so small as compared to population of Muslims in entire world. Jews are racist and don't  accept all kind of people.  Islam is open to all races and colors of people  because all people are creations of Allah (God Almighty).  We can differentiate between people because of their race and color.  But Jews do.

  3. Islam may seem similar to Judaism and Christianity due to the reason that they all came from the same origin. These three religions are similar and so are called the monotheistic religions. They are of the same Abrahamaic faith, coming from the patriach Abraham (pbuh).

Although Islam came last and was not given a name till Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), Islam is the monotheistic faith, the faith that has existed from the Prophet Adam (pbuh). It is the origin of believing in One God.

  4. In one word: No.

In more: There are many fudemantal similarities and differences in all three faiths. Islam is the final and consolidated deen of the three Abrahmic ones. The sects of Islam are fundementaly the same, with various interpratations.

  5. well Islam has abrogated all the previous religions, it is Allah's final message to the humanity.

  6. No way in h**l... islam is the invention, with some help from others, of a petty warlord of the seventh century middle east... islam has absolutely nothing to do with the God of Abraham. The One True God, The Creator of all that mankind knows and ever will know.

  7. ?

  8. 2:213 The people used to be one nation, then God sent the prophets as bearers of good news and as warners, and He sent down with them the book with the facts so that they may judge between the people in what they were disputing. But after receiving the proof, the people disputed in it due to animosity between them. God guided those who acknowledged with His permission regarding what they disputed in of the truth. God guides whoever/whomever (He) wishes to a straight path.

[5:48] Then we revealed to you this scripture, truthfully, confirming previous scriptures, and superseding them. You shall rule among them in accordance with GOD's revelations, and do not follow their wishes if they differ from the truth that came to you. For each of you, we have decreed laws and different rites. Had GOD willed, He could have made you one congregation. But He thus puts you to the test through the revelations He has given each of you. You shall compete in righteousness. To GOD is your final destiny - all of you - then He will inform you of everything you had disputed.

10:19 The people were but one nation, and then they differed. Had it not been for a previous command from your Lord, the matter would have been immediately judged between them for what they differed.

    11:118 Had your Lord wished, He could have made all the people one nation, but they still would continue to disagree;

    the difference in rites

    67. For each congregation, we have decreed a set of rites that they must uphold. Therefore, they should not dispute with you. You shall continue to invite everyone to your Lord. Most assuredly, you are on the right path.

    34. For each congregation we have decreed rites whereby they com- memorate the name of GOD for providing them with the livestock. Your god is one and the same god; you shall all submit to Him. Give good news to the obedient.

now problem with majority of muslims is,that they punish adulterer and adultress by not THEIR OWN QURANIC LAW but jewish law.and yet they shamelessly say we believe in Quran !!

    what a hypocrisy

  9. Islam teaches that there was , is and will be only one true religion which's basis is believing in one God.

That religion was first given to Adam (a.s.) , and with each prophet that religion was sent with adaptations for it's time.

    For ex:

That religion was given to Jevs with Moisus (a.s.) , and was called Judaism.

Then it was given to christians with  Jesus (a.s.) .

And finally it was given to all the world by Muhammad (s.a.w.) -to the last prophet , and was called Islam.

Of course each of them was sent in slightly different form , but the key principles WERE same.

Islam is the last religion . And it's the one which is for our time.

  10. It's a continuation.  Muslims believe that it is the same God, but that their holy books were changed (and they were!).

We believe Jesus was a prophet but that years later some people wrote the gospel and changed his message and made him sound like something he was not: the son of God.

  11. a deviant who asks to worship the One God and to not associate with him? to give to the poor and to respect one's parents?

i love that deviant sect, and ill be the first to join.

  12. No.

Actually Islam does Not change the true messages of Judaism and Christianity.  It reinforces and adds to them in more detail.

Islam has more in common with modern day Judaism (Unity of God) than with modern day Christianity (Trinity concept taken from paganism).

love for all, hatred for none

  13. If the Jews and the christians would not have changed the word of God by changing the Torah and Injeel (Old Testamant), then there would not have been the need for Islam to exist. Islam is exactly what the true Judaism and christianity should have been, had they not been changed for ulterior motives.

  14. There is only one God, and hence, only one religion of God, the way of righteousness, the path of purification of the self. Earlier prophets brought the same message as the later prophets. Those are the prophets. Judaism, as we now know it, was born in the Middle Ages. It has no historical connection with the Ancient Judeans except that it draws from the same stories. Rabbinical Judaism evolved under Muslim rule of Jerusalem. Before that, Jews had no Talmud. Before Jews learned Arabic, they had no system of Hebrew grammar. Judaism as an organized religion is younger than Islam. Before that, there were various tribes in Europe practicing ritual sacrifices based on their personal interpretation of the Bible. The pagan Khazars in Russia accepted Judaism in the Middle Ages to get the military protection from the next door Muslim Empire, without losing political autonomy.

The ancient Judeans accepted Christ when he came, and then they accepted Mohammad. They are the ancestors of today's Palestinians.

  15. All are considered The Books, The Torah, The Bible and The Quran are all revelations from God, each superseding the other. As Muslims we accept all Gods Prophets from Adam to Noah to Abraham to Jesus to Muhammad etc etc. Its not a sect and anyone who lived in the time before Islam was revealed and was a good observant Jew is considered a Muslim and anyone who lived as a christian before Islam is considered a Muslim etc.

Many things have been altered in the Bible etc so Islam is Gods final warnings and revelations it has not been changed or altered not one letter.

All three have similarities yes, we are all monotheists but, BUT Christians worship Jesus as God and them being mono (father son and holy spirit....)is debatable.

In the Quran Jesus is called by God the Messiah and we dont deny that but we deny he is the son of God or God himself.  Because tells us he is not. Are we going to tell God he is lying? I think not.

The history of the Prophets does not change even though Gods revelations do.

What do you want me to say? Take it up with God if you have an issue with it. Its all pretty simple and clear cut to me.

    Peace to you...

  16. No. Islam is the religion of all of the prophets, including Ibrahim (Abraham). "Judaism" is named after the tribe of Judah, the son of Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham.

So Abraham can never have been a "Jew". He was one who submitted his will to Almighty God, i.e. a Muslim.

Even Moses was from the tribe of Levi, i.e. he was a Levite, not a "Judaite". He was one who submitted his will to Almighty God, i.e. a Muslim.

Therefore, Islam has always existed before "JUDAism", "CHRISTianity".

    Get it?
