Isn't Kimbo Slice An Amateurish, Mediocre Fighter?

Why is he receiving so much hype? All bc of Youtube? Why didn't CBS put together better fights to showcase MMA?

He's broke in terms of fighting skills, standing or ground. They're just setting him up with crappy fighters so that he wins and the hype goes on.

bejabbers2003, Tank Abbot lost 11 of his last 13 fights. You used a horrible example. And Kimbo Slice has nothing to learn. He's old as h**l and as the old saying goes, you can't teach an old dog new tricks.

Uh yea he is an amateur.  He's only been in MMA for less than a year, with no MA or Wrestling background.  Jeesh!

Do you think Brock Lesnar was not all hype?...Kimbo is twice the boxer that Brock is plus he survived a ground and pound, and by the way, did not tap out, or get submitted..Brock's chicken legs couldn't handle a submission hold,  brother it's all hype,  and all about making money,  Watch the Kimbo, Tank Abbot, fight and you'll see where Kimbo's boxing skills are,  The man can hit,  anybody doubting that?...But yes, he has a long way to go,,he even said that last night...He said he has a lot to learn...Give him a break,,ok?..  not bashing your question,  just giving you my perspective..Thanks for the question..

Once again, as an MMA fighter, Kimbo is overrated. He will never have a complete grasp of the ground game, but he dosen't need to. When he hits people, they get hurt. If he can build around that, he will be successful. Maybe not a champ, but a success nonetheless. He looked bad. Real bad. But Rome wasn't built in a day. Give him time.

well,Dana White said himself that Kimbo wouldn`t last in the UFC and he wouldn`t even think of bringing him in2 UFC until he started fighting named fighters,and hes right

I think he has received an undue amount of hype, and EliteXC jeopardized MMA as a whole by putting on a fight using Kimbo.

Kimbo is a strong, vicious fighter with little skill and oafish movement.  He is a disgrace to MMA.

Kimbo is worse than an amatuerish mediocre fighter. He down right sucks.

Bimbo had problems getting up after the 2nd round, 10 minutes into the fight. Most championship bouts last up to 25 minutes. He wouldn't stand a chance against real competition as far as stamina and conditioning goes.

And not to mention the referee got paid to stop the fight at the first sign of Kimbo being ahead. To ensure their gang banging street thug punk doesn't lose. Because if he loses, theres no one left to promote.

He almost got beat by a 50th ranked heavyweight.

CBS couldn't put together any better fights because Elite doesn't have any good fighters.
