In regards to Palin's pregant daughter:

"Let me be as clear as possible," Obama said. "I think people's families are off-limits, and people's children are especially off-limits. This shouldn't be part of our politics. It has no relevance to Gov. Palin's performance as governor or her potential performance as a vice president."

No what he is saying is that personal lives are personal lives and they should be left out of the media. I agree. Her 17 year old daughter being pregnant is their business, not ours. If my 17 year old became pregnant then I probably would be pretty pis*ed of if the media was smashing her about it.  He is not putting her down. He is saying that her business is her business and that there is no need to make a mountain out of a mole hill

First off, I don't like Obama one earthly bit, but I agree with him on this one, sorry. Palin's daughter's condition is none of our business and it has nothing to do with her running as Vice President. If I was running for President or even Vice, would it matter to society of I gave away a litter of kittens? That's how petty this all has become! Her daughter made a mistake, okay, so be it. I bet everyone would be even more up in her face if she'd have had an abortion though now wouldn't they?

I am not thrilled about Obama's nomination because in my opinion Hillary Clinton was a better choice. But I see no sexists remark in the quote that you are griping about. Based upon his performance in  Illinois state senate, I don't think that Obama can actually deliver other than sweet talk.
