this is why they arent getting into the meat of things.  He is going to close the loop holes that businesses use to funnel money and not pay on taxes and When people like Teresa Heinz Kerry get a few million in tax credits it's nonsense.

it's the top 2 % of individuals (rick people) will get a slight increase and the businesses will pay the tax they are supposed to be paying.

Obama is promising programs...and tax breaks..

If you're going to have programs, they have to be paid for, and that comes from taxes.....

The bottom 50% is paying a tiny bit of the taxes, so you can't give them much of a tax cut by definition. Yet these are the people to whom the Democrats claim to want to give tax cuts. Remember this the next time you hear the "tax cuts for the rich" business. Understand that the so-called rich are about the only ones paying taxes anymore.
