  1. I've lived in Nevada for over 25 years. Prior to that I served in the Navy for 25 years. I've owned a hand gun for the past 20 years because Nevada permits such ownership and is an "open carry" state.

There are parts of the valley where I wear my hand gun on my hip. I have only had to draw it out of the holster in public on four occasions. It was done to prevent a crime in each case. On three of those occasions the intended victim was me. In the fourth incident the intended victim was the female manager of a coffee shop who was about to be battered by two drunken patrons. I never had to fire the weapon because I not only know how to shoot I also know when not to shoot.

Now, you can think of me as a "half-man", but the lady who managed that coffee shop didn't think so. Neither did the other patrons of the place. The police officers who responded were thankful for my efforts. The two drunks had open warrants from another state for crimes against person.

  2. Why else own one if your not a hunter? Protection and hey I'm a woman and with all the people that have them illegally you bet ya I carry one and will shoot to kill don't like it-don't come after me for any reason- threaten me,try to rob me, break into my home, hurt my child.  These are the reasons people have guns why do you?

  3. god made man, colt made them equal.

and if you had 1/2 a brain you'd be dangerous.

  4. i sort of disagree...

imo, a man carries a gun [registered i hope] to protect himself and his family.  nowadays, you have folks carrying let alone using the same weapons used by the military.  you gotta protect yourself at all times regardless of your choice of protection!

the REAL men are still around!.  there was a time when men fought only with their bare hands and knuckles but times have changed and everybody are out for themselves.  if by chance you are threatened by danger and you do not have a weapon to protect/defend yourself, then you would have no choice but to face life sanely and courageously AND HOPE TO LIVE BY THE MERCY AND BLESSINGS OF GOD!

  5. I bet you'd wish u had one when that sicko pulls u into an alley and wants to F#^K you up the a$$.  Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

  6. with all the mexicans running across our borders, you need a gun.

  7. I'm all for gun control and enforcing all the current laws.

That being said, I hope any a s s h o l e that breaks into someone's home, or attacks a person on the street, goes home in a body bag.

  8. Maybe you are right, but he will be an alive man.

My husband carries his weapon with him everywhere we go. (And, yes, he has a concealed weapons permit, and is in law enforcement)

His reason for always carrying is very logical...you never know when or where you will have to defend yourself or your family. He also carries on his person pepper spray and handcuffs so that he has less than lethal options if need be. He is one of the bravest men I know, and frankly do not care if you think he is being a coward.

  9. Yeah, and men that use condoms for protection are only half a man too I guess?

  10. I have guns for sports and for protection if needed so

don't be surprised if I'd use them for either...half-man

or Superman...the outcome would be the same!

  11. America was born with guns blazing.  The whole history of America involves guns.  But the heroic rebels who fought the British, became noble cowboys in the wild west, became fearsome mobsters in Chicago, became brave soldiers who fought the n***s, became cruel gangsters in the inner cities... have now evolved into "school shooters"!

Whether you are pro gun or anti gun, you have to admit America always had guns, and always will have guns.

  12. Personally, once I get older, and have a family.  I will consider having a gun.  If someone breaks into my house, I want to be able to protect my family.

If someone broke into your house with a gun...what would you do?  try and fight them...I think not dip-****...but if you ARE that dumb....well, sucks to be you.

  13. What does that say about people like you who walk the streets being protected by those you consider half-men? What percentage does that make you? Obviously much less than half.

  14. ANYONE who feels the need to keep a gun for their "Protection"- feel threatened by the length of their OWN Shadows...   These people spend their Lives- looking anxiously over their Shoulders, even as the Future guns them down from the front... -& they never know what hits them.  :(
