  1. There are 6 primary feelings or emotions that take humans away from the Supreme personality of Godhead Shri Krishna...

    These are

    Kama - Lust

    Krodha - Anger

    Lobh - Greed

    Moh - Negative affection

    Mada- False Pride

    Matsarya - Jealousy

In this the most primival feeling is Kama and the deadliest one is Mada

If these same feelings are directed towards God......towards that cosmic supreme consiousness....we become one with that energy..

If not...then our mind is engaged in false materialistic things..

Pure,Devotional,Unconditional Love for that Supreme Hari, Supreme Brahma,Supreme Shiva,Supreme Shakti.....is all we mortals need..

  2. For my own experience…yes. I either give love or I have a call for love. ANY desire I may have comes from wanting Union with Self – or love. Everything is a substitute for Source or God. We are complete in Source but do not recognize it or have glimpses but don’t live in the knowing.

We created a world where we thought we were separate from Source/God and so we put trees and plants here because we thought we had to have “breath” separate from Source. We eat food because we thought we were not nourished from Source and so on. It’s not wrong or right to do any of these kinds of things, for we made the decision to live in the world, but as it has been said, we have been told we are not OF the world.

  3. I desire a big screen TV.  I don't think there is anything about love or knowing oneself involved.  The only problem with this kind of desire is that it keeps me mired in samsara.  The road to a big screen TV leads nowhere.

Desiring wisdom, desiring love, desiring acceptance, desiring to know the fire in my soul, these are all other matters altogether.

  4. A lot of people are searching for something but if they stopped searching and stopped trying to be an idealized thing that they have created with the mind they would live in the moment in bliss and inner contentment.

  5. I do not think that love and desire are the same thing. I think desire goes around in loves clothing trying to seduce us into going after this and that temporary fix.

Nobody wants to be alone, but alone is what we are.

  6. sounds nice. i wonder how the direct experience would be...

  7. Not all. What of those that desire to harm others, those that are addicted because of desire, those whose appetites become a overwhelming destructive force. Not all desire is pure or healthy.

  8. so very true :)
