  1. You don't think this "ban" isn't going to stop anyone, do you?

I'm sure you'll see more than one thrown tomorrow night just because Bettman put the kabosh on it.

  2. if the octupus is baned lets go as far and take away the catfish from nashville, it was a rip off from Detroit anyway. garry bettman has some brass to take away something thats been going on since he was a kid.

  3. oh yeah dont you know our founding fathers died for life liberty and pursuit of asinine traditions

  4. The NHL is a PRIVATE COMPANY and can ban pretty much anything. Since you can't throw anything else, except hats after a hat trick, it would be hard to scream discrimination.

  5. Show me where it says that Detroits fans cant throw them onto the ice! Even Bettman said he wont ask for a penalty (delay of game) to be called cause he knows its a tradition. The only thing he asked was to keep it from being twirled BY ANYONE, WHEN ON THE ICE! AL still twirls it once the Zamboni door is shut. I think you are reading too much into this. NOWHERE does it say that an Octopi cannot be thrown on the ice, that I have read. You show me where it says that, if it has been written.

  6. ANIMAL CRUELTY!!!

  7. It should be...The NHL is taking so much away from the fans...When the Rangers swept the Thrashers in last year's playoffs, the Rangers and the Garden refused to allow any fans to bring in brooms...They are just taking away more thrills that the fans get out of the game.

  8. I don't know how but if you can prove that it is I'll love you forever!

    Go Wings!!!

  9. Well it would depend on the reason they have banned it, more info would certainly help out with your question. :)
