  1. Longer growing seasons, yes. That, and we'll be able to grow crops that weren't able to grow here before because of our harsh winters. Corn would be an option. One could even go as far out as saying that certain fruits will be able to grow here  - maybe even oranges and certain fruits that need constant heat to grow.


  2. well it could be, but the rest of the earth is in danger!! we could be covered in thousands of feet of water in a mater of days if it gets to bad!!

  3. It's good and bad.

    Yes, it might lengthen the growing season a wee bit, but most wheat and oilseed strains already mature pretty quickly. This is balanced by the possibility of a bad drought, as in the 1930s. Of course, this could be addressed by cross-breeding current Canadian wheat strains with new breeds from the Middle East that need less water.
