Isn't illegal to leave someone's water turned off for a certain amount of time?

my water has been turned off for 2 day's now. I don't know what is going on, but it is like 100 degree's all day and I need water. they have turned it off before, but alway's turned it back on at night. has to be a law, doesn't there?

  1. Pay your bill! No one has a right to water, gas or electric.  


  2. Who's doing the turning??  The water company?  Are you the only one without water? If so, call the water company if you can't see any employee actually shutting it off, and ask them why! Simple as that!  They may have a major problem going on, but if they do, then it would have been nice if they had informed you, so you could have got water from the store until they finished the job!  If what I have just typed is true, I would definately make a complaint!!

  3. I believe you're thinking of the health regulation that requires you, the homeowner or renter, to have water turned on at your home for sanitation reasons. If you don't pay your bills on time they will turn it off; the onus falls on you. From my experience, they give you a very long time to pay you bills before they disconnect your service.

  4. make sure that all your bills are paid , and check if there is any work going on. if bills are not paid no one should get the supply. but if your bills are up to date, take action.

  5. Sue them, they should reimburse you with bottled water
