  1. Where is the meaning if you have nothing to search for?

The meaning is in the... ugh...

  2. Considering that "we" are the ones who must "create" meaning in our lives, and if a person hasn't "created" any in their lives, then there would be none to find, then yes...

That would be a colossal waste of time...

  3. YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!

Now tell all of the people  that flood this section with the "what is the meaning of life?" questions that.

  4. not when its $10 away

    acid is lifes ultimate guide

  5. Yes.

But until you have something more important to do with your time, keep it up.

  6. Yep is is a waste of time cause what would you do with it when you find it?

If and when you find it then what? Would that be the end?

Life is about the journey not the destination!

I think half the fun is in not knowing the meaning of life- then I know I can't be doing it wrong!

Don't worry so much about the why, just enjoy the here and now!

  7. But what if someone finds it

  8. If life has no meaning, then where is the question of waste of time..... in the absence of any meaning, everything in life is a waste anyway.

If there is a meaning, and we do not search for it, then it could be a waste of time living the life without any idea as to what it is meant for.

  9. You're never going to find it if you give up.

  10. Passively are you not searching for it yourself, with your question?

You are admitting subconsciously that you contemplate it enough to ask the world to tell you why you should not.

Now get on with your search and find that meaning!

  11. is it not a waste of time living your life without knowing its meaning???

  12. Your meaning of life is more important.

  13. Then don't

  14. No one seems to know the meaning of life except people of religion. So i think you are right.

  15. What if the meaning of life is to search for its meaning?

  16. Who said you had to search for the meaning of life?

    Just live.

  17. Perhaps nobody will ever find 'the meaning of life' but to say that the search is pointless misses the whole nature of our existence. We all live, and we die. We are all part of nature. Yet, as humans, we have something in our minds, or in our hearts, that tells us there is a greater purpose out there. Some people live more in the present and do not think about 'the meaning of life', though most people to some degree do think about why they are here, what they are supposed to do, and who they are supposed to be. In this way we CREATE our own meaning of life, and must also search for what this is meant to be.

Even if there is no meaning of life, ultimately even the greatest skeptic cannot live by that view. It is part of human nature to search for meaning, whatever that is, whether it is real or not.
