That with us hosting the Olympics in 2012 we would be getting ready to advertise how great the country is and promote britain as much as possible to get the tourists in to help the economy since we have the slowest growing tourism trade in Europe?

In reality Brown has decided to cut the tourism budget again, since Labour came to power the tourism boards budget has been cut by 50% and in the next 3 years will be cut by a further 18% does that not seem a little stupid? Whilst Spain spent £79 million on a single ad campaign to get the tourists flocking our annual tourism budget is £35 million, if this was say a manufacturing industry with loads of unionised workers labour MP's would be in an uproar over it but, since it's less visible and the employers are not in unions donating money to the labour party they are overlooked.

Seems like they are starting to do the very thing they criticised the tories for looking after only their own and tossing the rest of the country to the side of the road.

Your thoughts please.

  1. 'starting to do the very thing they criticised the tories for looking after only their own and tossing the rest of the country to the side of the road.' ?

What do you mean 'starting' to look after only their own and nobody else ?  That's what they've been doing from the start.  PA Consulting will be full of Labour politician's kids, which probably explains why they're such a bunch of duffers

  2. Oi! Lorne, We duffers are not to be trifled with!!!

  3. They don't need to spend money attracting people into the country! They are already flocking in, and not surprisingly, they have no idea how many are coming in !

They need to cut budgets here and there as the games will cost many times the forecast cost !!
