Question:

Isn't it about time we had 25 hour days?

I find I just can't fit everything into these 24 hours days, what with horsewhipping the servants, gin drinking, attending my clubs, satisfying my Swedish twin au-pairs and thinking up japes and tom foolery the days are just to short. Plus I think the staff get off rather lightly only working 24 hour shifts.

So I have decided to add another hour to the day here at Rotter manor, do you think it will catch on?

  1. absolutely spiffing idea old chap i have even extended the working week to 8 days here at Havershite Castle to wishy washy these days wanting days off and holidays.

I give the servants one half day off every month which may be cancelled with no notice and they are allowed an extra 30 minutes lay in on boxing day which i think is being very generous

  2. yeah, why not! Give it a go!

  3. My entire staff are paid a paltry sum each month. I have indicated to them only five years previous, that there are 6 weeks in every month, in turn paid  accordingly. Now, as funny as this is, all but a few hours ago they celebrated new years eve, and are currently situated in the middle of my Banquet hall, muttering words to the effect of happy new year ( whatever that means).

I do believe it was discussed up at Rotter Manor several moons ago. You must remember to take the medication for that blasted amnesia you suffer with.

  4. Well, Canada uses the 25 hour clock. ;)

  5. I find your proposal rather intriguing and shall voice my full support for its immediate implementation. T'is rather surprising, in my own humble opinion, that this has not taken place much sooner don't you think? Well, now, thanks to NASA, you can live the full 25 hour day and let your servants enjoy it too. I wish you much luck in your endeavour.

  6. What a jolly good idea,it will give me an extra hour to beat the servants.See to it that it is implemented, wont you old bean.Three cheers for the Absolute Rotter.

  7. Yes good idea, then it would be 370 days between birthdays instead of 365, so we would live longer.

  8. sure...go ahead...and while your at it, make a 8 day week too!

  9. No, because then we will be forced to work more hours.

One should also look at the downfall of ones plan ;-)

  10. um..your weird.

  11. Its very Possible, but they'll get rid of leap years since its for the extra hours we have in that year. It would be something new...

  12. I'm struggling to keep up with 24 and it means that school and work days would additionly be extended so if it come to a majority vote I would like to hope not. Mind you that doesn't effect those in the positions of power like you describe.

    Colourfull life you lead.

  13. The amount of hours isn't the problem here. 24 or 25 hours, what's the difference? Less time for work would help better. Imagine a smaller day with, let's say, only 20 hours, but 0 hours of work. That's my fantasy.

  14. God! I thought I was the only one! I do think it will catch on, my good chap, and damned be those that don't like it.

  15. no, you would just waste that extra hour thinking of more inane Q's to post on Y/A....and i would waste that hour answering them.

  16. I don't know about all that, but I know they should bring siesta time to the US!

  17. Thanks for the points : )
