Question:

Isn't it amazing how republicans have *completely* shut out Bush/Cheney?

The McCain campaign, and it's supporters, go absolutely berserk if you suggest a continuation of Bush's policies.

Looks like everyone agrees that the Bush administration was a catastrophic failure that nobody wants to be associated with.

  1. McCain/Palin will continue Bush/Cheney's policies....

  2. First of all those aren't real Republicans.  And, not all of us voted for McCain or Bush for that matter.  Besides Bush gangster'ed his way into the presidency both times.

But, what you expect?  Sorry, for printing so much money in 2001 that it created a credit and housing bubble that will ultimately send the US into depression.  And, sorry for sending 5,000 of your sons to their death in Iraq and for raising the national deficit 10 fold?

    They you'll wake up.

  3. I still support Bush... And if it was such a catastrophic failure then why was he elected into office twice?

  4. It is.

I think it will go down in history as one of the worst administrations.

    Vote McCain

  5. Don't kid yourself. The same folks are still in charge. They wouldn't even let McCain have Joe Lieberman as his personal pick for VP.

Steve Schmidt (Karl Rove's protege) is running the campaign.

Bush's speechwriter wrote Palin's acceptance speech.

  6. It's the same with all of their failed half-baked schemes - ignore it and it will just go away.

  7. Yes, but you cant shut out Bush/Cheney when your candidate voted with them 90% of the time.....

If McCain truly wanted to differ from Bush, he should have mentioned what he will do for Health Care, Prescription Drugs, and the middle class.  He and Palin ignored the issues in their speeches.

Instead McCain's answer to every question is: "I was a POW" and Palin talks proudly about putting the Alaska State Jet on Ebay but doesnt mention that NOBODY bought it!  They took it off Ebay and hired a salesperson to sell the jet through more traditional means. Just another example of Palin stretching the truth.

She says she is against Earmarks and the "Bridge to Nowhere" but she campaigned in favor of getting federal money for the Bridge to Nowhere.  It was only after the feds refused it did she oppose it.  Nevertheless, she accepted the same amount of federal money and instead of building the bridge like she promised the residents she used it elsewhere.  She also took $27 million dollars in federal funds as mayor of a town of less then 9000.  Against Earmarks?  Her record proves otherwise.

Palin says she did not pressure her state public safety director to fire her ex-brother in law who was going through a messy divorce with her sister.  But state records show she emailed the public safety director several times pressuring him to do it and dozens of phone calls were made by her staff doing just that as well.  Will Sarah lie under oath when this goes to court?

  8. thats just for right now. if mccain gets in the white house it'll be like bush never left
