They are in the job to make society a better place to live in. Why does this country favour teenage yobs, when all decent members of the community should be kicking and beating them into touch?

I wouldn't gang up on anybody like that, no matter what job they were doing. Even parking wardens. I might hate parking wardens, but I'm civilised enough to not hurt them with loads of other people. I don't think people are brought up properly nowadays. Our country is full of celeb magazine reading chav scum. Those kids are the future adults, so how they going to bring up their kids? I expect their parents only had them to get a council house. The birch should be brought back for kids like that.

Edit - Oh yes Joan the police officers were obviously asking for it, for making the girl pick up her rubbish. Come on get real woman!! You moan about the state of the country then criticise cops for trying to do their job and make a difference.

Edit - Aberdeen Tyke..... Now do I take a beating or do I use reasonable force against a gang of 30+ people baying for my blood. Using your baton against such numbers is more than reasonable.  I would make sure they knew what they were getting. I would happily go to court and justify my use of such force if I were ever in that position. Does that make me corrupt..... does it sh*te!!

This situation just shows to what lengths the judicial system has failed. People you might say used to fear cops but the real fear was not of the cops but what occurred after the cops arrested you and you were convicted of a crime. Punishment used to fit the circumstance. Now the system cuts these thugs loose without punishment therefore they fear nothing not the cops, not the punishment nor the crime itself and what they may do to another individual. Let me say emphatically too that the cops didn't cause this problem. LIBERALS are 100 % responsible for this failure of the system and most other maladies of society.........

This is another example of the potential dangers faced by our Police each day in a country in decline.  Something that some members of the public who are quick to criticise don't realise.

Maybe if we had a bit more zero tolerance and harsher sentences and jails things would be a little different.

Much as I hate to say it, I would like to hear the other side of the story. What did the Officers say to cause such a riot?. I don't suppose we will ever find out, but some can be very arrogant when they want to be and get people's backs up. I am not saying this is true in this case, but something must have sparked the trouble.

If they can catch these vvermin they should face a quite vicious sentence. We must protect to the best of our ability those who puttheier safety and sometimes lives at risk so that we can sleep at night.

I do not always agree with the police and think the powers that be set priorities stiupidly but I am aware of what will happen if they are not there .

Gone are the days when we feared the bobby on the street.  I don't know what way people are rearing their children now adays but its not good.
