  1. The Democrats opened the door to that criticism in the last elections by inferring that electing them would result in lower gas prices.

Hillary Clinton, campaigning back in November urged Americans, "If you're tired of high gas prices, elect as many democrats as you can".

You really can't expect republicans to ignore an opening like that.

It isn't funny ,it's just politics

  2. Gee, Bush wanted to drill for oil and the DEMOCRATIC congress would not allow it. Hmmmmm, it seems that's a no brainer to anyone with intelligence. To people like you, environment is far more important than economy. At least until election year.

  3. Hello......Congress is in control and they are democrat. Bush would love to drill for what we KNOW is there. Pelosi says no.

The Dem's for decades have said no to new drilling because they are scared of the environmentalists. Bush and the RNC is for drilling. Get your facts straight.

  4. If the Dem's would let us drill while looking for energy independence prices would go down. President Bush has already lifted his ban on it and majority of the Republicans want to drill therefore that is why its pushed to be the Democrats fault.

  5. yes, I was scratching my head too, they talked all night long about their failed policies, and blamed the democrats for every single one of them.

  6. If you had been paying attention, you would know that it was the Democrats (in particular, Maria Cantwell, D - WA) who killed drilling in the ANWR.

  7. And vice versa. One party will always blame the other for something.

  8. As the Democrats speak of the Apocalypse as if its the Republicans fault.

  9. Take a course in American Government and discover a whole new world of TRUTH.

The Demolibes are in charge of the body of government that controls laws, rules and regulations and the passing of any bill or act to reform or adjust national issues.

Funny how many finger pointers are unaware of who to point at.

  10. It may have been the Democratic congress that had the sense not to waste our time drilling in the ANWR, but that is not the reason that gas prices have skyrocketed in the last two years.  Even if they had started drilling last year, we wouldn't have any gas from it for many years still, the same as with the offshore drilling.  The problem lies more with the way that oil is traded on the stock market, increased demand from other countries, and, oh, I don't know, maybe the whole war in the Middle East??  Oh, and don't forget that Congress was Republican for the first 4 years of Bush's presidency.

  11. Republicans suck.

  12. They have always blamed everything on the dems. Clinton leaves billions in surplus. We now are losing billions every month & they say he was a bad Pres. the people robbing the country are good.

  13. Who is the majority in congress?
