about free to airs coverage of afl but are to cheap to get foxtel the cheapest package it just $38 a month and you get 4 games live and if in syd-canb- or bris you get 6 games a week live

yes but the $38 a month doesn't include the footy channel and we should have the right to watch the national sport on free to air

However, this doesn't apply to everybody, and many whinge and complain for very good reasons.

I live in Townsville and have Austar (which - I am led to believe - is the same as Foxtel). We pay to have Austar. We pay to have footy. However, on many occassions, things are not as they should be. For example, the Dreamtime Game. Between Richmond and Essendon. This is a very significant game. Yet, on this night, channel 10 was playing the brisbane game so when we flicked to Austar we were astonished to find that they too were playing this game!

I'm not only complaining about free to air, but to AFL coverage in general! It's bad enough living in north queensland where you only ever hear about rugby league! Come on, let us get what we pay for!

Yeah so true. Then again Ive got foxtel  and I dont pay for it (my parents do) and they are talking about getting down graded to smaller packages. However we couldnt decide so we just have to watch what we spend. Most of my friends dont have foxtel coz their parents cant afford it. Anyway you just gotta be grateful for wat u got...or make friends with someone who has what u want. lol jj. I only get 4 live games on fox sports in perth, which is a rip off coz channel 10 n 7 dont always show the othjer games live. But it doesnt matter coz the westcoast n dokers games r live.

australians whinge and complain about everything - if it's too sunny they complain there's no rain, if there's no rain they complain there's no sun, if they're at home they complain about John Howard, if they're abroad they complain that they're not in Oz.

Not everone can afford $38 a month especially familys with little kids, so they are not cheap! you might have more money than them.i dont have it & i'd be upset if they took the cricket & certain football games off like the state of origin & stuck it on foxtel :)

38 bucks a month thats another slab of p!$$,get your priorities right cobber,the more people that subscribe to foxtel for the footy the less incentive there is to show the games on free to air,wake up mate don't be a stooge for the AFL, I CALL ON EVERYONE TO BOYCOTT THE FOOTY PACKAGE ON FOXTEL,if no one will pay the AFL will have to show more on free to air. lol
