I'm Mexican, but growing in Mexico was very hard for me because I didn't play soccer. In elementary, while all the boys were playing soccer, I was in karate classes, so the biys told me I was a girl for being in karate.

When I was in middleschool, I joined a swimming team, so all the boys told me swimming was for girls. In highschool, I was still in the swim team, and I starting doing trick on half pipes on rollerbaldes. Everyone told me I should play a men's sports like soccer.

I college, I was on the college swim team at the same time I was in the football team. Everyone told me football was for girls, that men played soccer.

I right now, I'm still in a swim team, and I joined a boxing gym, I'm trying to become a boxer. And people still tell me I should not play a girls' sport such as boxing, I should play soccer like men do.

It's amazing!!! It doesn't matter how agresive football can get, it doesn't matter boxing can get.

In Mexico, if you play anything besides soccer, you're playing a girls' sport.

Am I wrong, or is it them?

  1. In Football, many players get hurt, paralized and a few have died playing the game,in soccer the only people that get hurt are the referees and people in the stands when fans start beating on them,by the way,why don't they call soccer "giving head",since they mostly use their heads to hit the ball

  2. Football is the roughest and toughest of all sports, followed by boxing.  There is a reason OL die at an early age and many football players experience health problems late in life.  I would love to see David Beckham take one hit from Lawrence Taylor.  Then we would know who is playing a girls sport.

  3. tell those fools that soccer is for frilly ballerinas that frolic and dance around a spotted ball like rejects from a failed broadway musical, and if they wanted to play a man's game they should choose a sport where the referee doesnt' come out on the field with a yellow (the color of cowardice) card and penalize anybody that breathes to hard on another player,,

  4. They are wrong.

Soccer is no where as tough as football. A couple of dives in soccer, a good football player would hit them and they wouldn't get up.

  5. lol wow i didnt know that but thats hiliarious...but they are wrong because in soccer you dont get tackled or hit all hard...and no females play football because it's too much a physical sport...only the strong survive...and they have plenty of female soccer players...mexicans are stupid...hahahha

  6. The fact is that soccer is really popular in Mexico. Soccer the most popular sport in the world so there are lots of people that follow it by heart. Any sport can be dangerous, you can get injured in softball just like you can get injured in rugby and im sure there are probably hobbies more dangerous than rugby, soccer, boxing, ufc, football, etc. Soccer is a dangerous sport b/c there is not that much protection but so is football even though there is protection. I can go on and on and on but the bottom line is that mexicans love soccer.  Dynamo plays tomorrow in the superliga final ...yay :-)

  7. I would think falling down and rolling around pretending to be hurt is a pretty girlie thing to do.   And that happens all the time in soccer.  I find it to be really lame and unbearable to watch.

  8. boxing is a man's sport and an art. in the united states, a lot of people call soccer a girl's sport. some people call them field fairies. i don't necessarily agree...

  9. Put David Becham against any NFL Safety or Corner and they can fight it out to see who's the girl
