I'm sure he was happy just because he hit 2 HRs. Edmonds is a classy guy. I'm sure the St. Louis fans still like the guy. I actually never understood why the Cubs fans were booing him earlier in the year. He seems to come up big for them a whole lot. I lost some respect for Cubs fans when I witnessed that.

I am very happy because I'm a Cubs fan.  It was also nice to see Howry get his stuff back and to see Samardzja get some experience under pressure.  Thats what Tony larussa gets for being so negative about him in the media.

I think he was happy to get runs for his team and not the fact it was against his former team. I don't think there is a bitter relationship between the Birds and Edmonds. This isn't Damon-Red Sox here. The fans still love the class than Jim Edmonds brought to their team, They just love the guy.

I think Edmonds might actually feel a little (and i mean that in every sense of the word) guilty because he spent his best years with the Red Birds.

Either way, it's nice to see him doing well again after it seemed he was on his way out of baseball in Petco.

well he likely was happy. and i liked it on the first home run when he watched it go and looked over at la russa and just flipped the bat in that general direction. its nice to see edmonds be able to stick to the cards for not wanting him anymore (tho they had a legit reason to not want him).
