Question:

Isn't it great that Britain's Andy Murray has won a Masters' title?

The question was meant to be flippant! Basically, to me, when he wins he is British and when he loses he's Scottish.

It drives them mad!

  1. yep it's great. The hard court season is definitely his best. If only he could do just as well on grass then the Brits would really go mad.

  2. yes its great.

from some of the highlights that i watched i think they both were having great , intense rallies and murray was playing absolutely amazing tennis.

he will now be #6 replacing andy roddick.

he has a long way to go.

    congrats!

  3. no. i don't like murray.at all.

  4. I am happy where he is heading to. He is definitely worthy to be the next Tim Henman. But what I am confused about is the issue about him being Scottish or him being a Brit. Hhmm...

  5. No i don't like him.

  6. yes its great news

  7. As much as I am happy for Andy to finally get a masters series title, I know I am going to have to suffer through the agony now of people comparing Murray to Djokovic, Nadal and Federer which is ludicrous really.

Murray is at least 3000 points behind Djokovic and 4000 behind Nadal and Federer, yes it shows skill that he managed to beat Djokovic, but its 1 Masters title, why aren't people comparing Nalbandian to the Big 3 seen as he beat Federer, Nadal and Djokovic on the way to the Madrid title and and then did it again a week later beating Federer and Nadal for the Paris Masters. It just seems unfair simply because its Murray, and he's British/ Scottish, that people are comparing him to Federer and Nadal when other people have managed to do so much more and not gain that kind of recognition.

Again, Kudos to Andy for winning a Masters shield but people shouldn't speak too soon.

  8. nope, don't like his game

  9. My dream would be for him to be booed by the centre court crowd at wimbledon.

Side point,l just found out that that cutesy little girl that won the junior girls title at the big W,had actually become a british citizen 3 months prior. The bloody family are aussies

  10. no

    he is a stupid jock

  11. lets hope he continues on and wins some more, he is doing very well currently

Daniel     everyone is allowed one mistake, and haven't you ever heard any other scotsman say the same thing. They all do.

  12. its funny becoz its true

  13. Its brilliant, but watch the Scots say he is scottish - boy they are a bunch of sadoes

  14. Matthew B, why are the Scots a bunch of sadoes?

Because we are proud to have one of our own do so well and then have him passed of as British in victory and Scottish in defeat?

    You need a life.

He is proud of his roots and so he should be!!

  15. Time for a nappy change questioner!  Tennis is a game of skill, strength and talent by individuals - it is not a National sport.  Andy Murray's nationality is irrelevant - his tennis skills are not!  Congratulations to him for his winning his first Masters.

I hate all this 'Little Britain' nationalist trash - we are all inter-married now with hundreds of thousands of Scots married to English, Irish and Welsh partners, so try not to go down the Hitler route of ethnic cleansing!  Andy Murray is a Scot by birth and parentage and whether he wins or loses he is also British.

  16. its nice

  17. Yes its awesome!

I really think Murray has made a break through and will from now on dominate the game with fed, nadal and djokovic. It just shows how competent Murray is on hard courts and I really think he could win the US open this year.

    Fingers crossed!

  18. it is amazing news.

    i am soo happy.

  19. When he was asked who would he like to win the world cup(football) he said any one except England so he's a real a** hole in my book

  20. he is a scot.

  21. i ******* hate ******* murray.

  22. Yes it is good that a Brit has won it, but I wish it was someone else because he always seems so miserable in his interviews.
