Take Jesse James, he was a mass murderer, a racist, and quite possibly a rapist, and yet our culture looks back at him as a hero of sorts, a modern day robin hood, all because the adventurous and playful take of the wild west in movies and books is shown through.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford"

I wonder if any of the mass murderers of contemporary times will be looked back on as kindly?:O

  1. Agreed....

It's very interesting the way the public views people in different ways....

And I very much doubt those criminals of today will be looked to as heros....

Unless somehow the media, and the public buy into the lies, and fakeness of so much in the media....

    (Not newspapers, or News stations)

    But "Us" Entertainment tonight"

    Etc....

    =)

    All my best!

  2. yeah that's how it goes, unconscious manifestation of idolism. ^_^

  3. Oh yes, definitely!  Look at our role in the present crisis in Iraq.  All that "Support Our Troops" bullsh*t.  We'll look back on that someday (soon I hope) and laugh at how naive we were to believe that Bush was a Christian.

  4. i somehow doubt it, was hitler a hero? will he ever be?

but who knows what will happen, maybe everyone will take on a religion and become murderer/terrorists, humans are mad anything could happen

but not in the near future

  5. Go and fetch some Autographs from a local prison, they may be valuable some day!

    Only kidding..

On a serious note, I agree with you.

What was the name of that famous boxer that killed his wife? You can see I for one don't follow famous criminals!

  6. The only reason both then and now, which Jesse James and the Younger Brothers caused 'em to be view as heros, is the fact that fought against big business. Which in their case was the R/R barrons, who purchased poor folks property at the rate of pennies on the dollar. The economy in the southern states was depressed, under developed, and unindustrialized. The railroad companies made many fortunes upon the backs of Oriental, Irish, and poor folks backs. Imperialism at its worst.
