When I was in college, I had classes with a lady that was 82 years old.  I used to pick her up and drop her off at her home on my way to class because I used to hate seeing her walk 3 miles one way to get to classes.  I asked her why she was taking classes and she told me,  "honey, it is never too late to accomplish your dreams."  She told me that she had been a housewife all her adult life and then took care of her ill husband until he passed away.  She said she then felt free to follow her dream.   It is never too late.

It is never too late to learn or study.  But I think more important, is not your age, but what other event are taking place in your life.  

If you have a family I wouldn't recommend quitting your job to attend 4 yr university, unless you are financially set.   BUT that is none of my business.   They do have internet college available and easy to enroll.

I will say this: the quicker you enroll the better.  I am 32 and in high school was great at math.  I had to take a refresh course just to bring it back to the front of my mind.
