Isn't it little ironic that the DNC was waving more American flags than the RNC?

Does that make Democrats more patriotic than Republicans? But I thought Democrats thought flag waving was false patriotism? So why were they waving so many flags? To show they are false patriots? And are Republicans more patriotic because they are waving the flags?

It isn't ironic. Democrats brought this country out of a depression and safely through World War II. Democrats helped Americans to turn away from segregation and hate.

Patriotism = bringing justice to your country

Flags are merely symbols; it is the faith and vision in the hearts of Democrats that has guided this country in the twentieth and twenty first centuries

Why is it ironic? Oh I forgot that Republicans have a monopoly on patriotism, even though they claim to love this country SOOOO much, yet hate half of the people living in it.

I'm not American, but this applies to any country in the world.

Waving flags is not false patriotism if you do something else for the benefit of your country. If you are a hard working person who seeks the good for your country, and additionally you wave your flag, there's nothing wrong with that.

Just waving the flag, and saying you are a patriot just for that....that's false patriotism.

THey get the flags for free to wave at the door.  It is a marketing ploy be Obama's campaign to make him look more patriotic due to Michele and Rev. Wright.

The Dem candidate is a friend of anti-America personalities and groups, BHO disparagaed the flag laper pin "that pin" but stupidly is wearing it again, didn't respect the flag during the national anthem, protected his inspirational pastor "God d**n America", and 20-year POW (prisoner-of-Wright). it was an oxymoron gesture.
