Well, the skyline does look empty w/o the WTC towers.

Admittedly, the twin towers were very plain compared with the Empire State, but that in no way undermines the tragedy. It still scares me to think that I was at the top of one of them eight days before 9/11, and staying in the Millennium Hilton Hotel directly opposite, which was also badly damaged.
