Hey your grandma and her mom and grandma was probably teen moms. Then it was expected whats changed. If they are taking responsiblity then stand back and give them support. I was a teen mother at 17. I am now 24 and very happy. Do not judge unless you walk in that persons shoes.

being a Mom is a special event no matter what your age is. Age doesn't define how good of a parent you will be.

You know...life just happens. My niece is 16 and pregnant and I am gonna love that baby up and give her all the support she needs.

they aren't congratulated for sleeping around or not using protection, but the miracle of life should always be a congrats kind of thing.

yeah apricot lover that is very insensitive and mean....I mean a baby isnt a bad thing. what are they suppsoed to say? "oh youa nd that baby are screwed?" god have some compassion. then that means every woman that somehow doesnt fit the perfect description of being a mother---such as being unwed, or over 40 ("too old' then shell becaleld), a history of drug sue but recovered etc shouldnt get congratilated either. a baby is still a baby and a blessing no matter what age.

What ought to be said should have been before she got pregnant. After that nothing can be done to reverse the situation. But relax and enjoy the new baby, that is a bless!!!

I don't think it's sad at all. Sometimes you have to take the bad with the good and being negative when a beautiful baby comes into this world is not a good way to start a newborns life. Just put yourself in there shoes.

just because someone is a teenager n pregnant, doesnt mean they are going to be horrible parents who dont deserve to know the joy of a child....

a baby is a wonderful blessing, if God can bless that teen with such miracle, who are we to judge.

My mom had me when she was a teenager, and I've done very well for myself.  I think that if the mom is willing to take care of the baby and love it with all of her heart, that should be congratulated.

That is a REALLY messed up statement, motherhood is an exciting time and is a BIG task no matter what age...
