PROFESSOR OLDMAN’S

LAST LECTURES

How can he shake so much?

The change is his pocket rattles as he walks.

As he passes, you want to stand,

taking him by the hand,

bracing him from the fall.

Pride is all he has left.

He doesn’t know how it pains everyone.

Still, just to be there when he speaks,

as if sparks could fly from the eyes of a man,

yet they do.
