  1. RUSSIA IS A HUGE COUNTRY NOT CONTINENT

EUROPE IS RICH BECAUSE IT'S THE CENTER OF CIVILIZATION WITH ASIA TOO

  2. Russia is not a continent, it's just a very large country that spans two continents.

Europe is richer because most of Europe was not Communist.

  3. It has to do with the economics of the country, not the size.  Russia probably has less people per square mile than most countries in Europe.   I'm not sure of the exact specs, but an example is Alaska- its by far the biggest US state, but much of the area isn't inhabited.  So the biggest state probably has less people than some US cities.

  4. Russia had a feudal lifestyle until the early 20th century.  It went from one extreme of government to another without any reasonable government. (royal rule to communist rule).  Neither one of the governments really knew how to rule a huge country effectively.  The end of these forms of government finally led to democratic freedom which hasled to excesses.  Europe in the same time has a mildeer form of royal rule.  Their forms of government allowed gradual progress in education, manufacturing, and law.

By the way, Russia is not a continent.

  5. Isn't Alaska the biggest state? Then how come New Jersey is richer than it?

    Answer the question for yourself.

  6. Russia is not a continent. There are only 5 continents on earth, which are Asia, Australia, Europe, Afrika, and America. Theoritically each continent is devided into sub continents, i.e for Europe we have East Europe, North Europe, Scandinavia. Russia is a large country located in East Europe.

Now, when you said Europe is richer, which part of Europe did you mean? Somehow I think what you meant was North Europe countries. Why they are richer than Russia - there are dozens of reason for that. I agree with the other that one of the reason was because they are communist (in communist country they are no poor people nor rich people, everyone is equal and the majority assets holder will be the government). Other reasons because in the past they did not believe in free trade international market, nor foreign investments.  North Europe had started their industries and promoted foreign trades with other continents (especially Asia) long time ago, which speed up mutual benefits for all the participants.
