  1. He's gonna go out the way that Arnie and Jack went out, when they feel they no longer have a shot at winning.  If he goes to Augusta, it's because he feels like he has a shot to win the tournament and he knows his own game better than any of us do.

Good question though.  Glad to see some real discussions here instead of club advice and swing flaws.

  2. Fuzzy has a right to be there until he not longer plays. That the rules for the Masters. If the rules ever get changed, then maybe, but until then, if he earned it, then its his right.

  3. No. The Masters is unique, it has a small field, and wants the best golfers out there, and a smattering of old duffers who won it years ago.   The masters would be worse off without the likes of Woosnam, Faldo, Lyle and even Mize.

The top 50 in the world rankings qualify, plus many others, so if you can't qualify under the current criteria you don't really stand a chance of winning anyway.

  4. No. The crowds love him. He can't win,but i think if he played really well he could make the cut.

  5. He made the cut last year at the age of 55 and sent a lot of guys home that couldn't step up to the challenge of Augusta. However, winning the Masters is simply one of those golfing jewels that you just don't want to surrender and truly cherish the invitation because you are a past champion. And I'm sure all of the past champions feel the same. Most have no bearing on the cut or the outcome of the tournament.

  6. He earned the right to play until the day he dies. He isn't taking anyone's spot. Either you qualify to play, or you don't.
