Isn't it time for LIC to outsource it front office opertions to some pvt companies?

The work culture of LIC's public dealing staff is still old fashioned. They refuse to realise that times have changed. I believe it is time LIC should engage some reputed pvt players to manage its day-to-day operations to compete with the pvt insurance entities. The present staff manning the sections should be given the option of VRS or change their attitude.

Yes.

The mindset of most of the middle and lower lever staff is the same as it was when LIC had the monopoly. Their behavious is discounteous and still believe that policyholders has to come to them anyway. At least 80% of them do not appear in office before 11.30 am.

One reason could be that they are grossly under paid compared to their counterparts in pvt sector. Considering the current living cost they should be adequately compensated. The corporation should also look into the matter. And of course they can introduce a system of rewarding the honest and hardworking ones.
