Isn't it time we sorted out the Euro qualification process?

I mean lets face it thats 2 teams that have went into europe by virtue of losing a Scottish cup final and two humiliating defeats is it about time that the winners of the cup or who comes 4th after all they haven't the league position doesn't lie whilst you can fluke a few and get to the final especially as most of the top flight tend to concentrate on the league

no, i think its fair.

Only fans of teams from the SPL would say this, as then it makes it that much more possible for thier team to get into europe by aiming for fourth spot, which is quite pish to be honest. Surely the fans would want them to  aim for third and a good cup run?

i think its great to see teams like Queen of the South get a chance at europe. They are a tiny team with next to no budget, and a cup run all the way to the final is the best theyl get, once in a blue moon. Even if they do get gubbed, which they didnt, a game in European competition is a fine reward

Errr this season it has changed. i think you will find that 3rd/4th place get the Uefa cup spot now...

The Champions league should mean just that, only the league winners of each country should be allowed to enter instead of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and fourth placed teams, even if it's a shorter competition, with the Uefa cup for 2nd placed teams, that'll save Rankers having to play too many games ever again, unless they form some less glam' competition for deadbeats and losers and kick lumps out of each other..

Gordon Smith was talking about doing something about that, 3rd and 4th will get a Uefa spot this year, but that's because Scotland will have three uefa cup berths next season.  As it stands, i think the cup runners up can still claim the third uefa spot.
