I've seen jews with blond hair, very fair complexion and other germanic features.Does one suppose that some mixing between the two ethnic groups happened a real long time ago?

  1. Of course Jew-hating was extremely prevelant throughout history in Europe.

But with Hitler it was a more escalated (to the most disgusting degree) matter.

But yes, a lot of Jews are white/European.  Don't forget that Judaism is a religion and that anyone can acquire religion; it's not restricted to just one race.

I'm pretty sure there's been some mixing, and just simply a German/European becoming Jewish.

It's just I've always wondered how those Europeans became Jewish if the Jews were so hated...

Oh well, but that's a good question you have.

  2. Don't forget that the Jews have been around for Millenia and the actual country of Germany has only existed since a little before world war 1.  The Jews were not always hated by the Germans and in fact many lived there and in the rest of europe for that matter.  Germans hating the Jews didn't exist until Hitler and WWII, so yes, the groups mixed over time. Of course.

And by the way, Jews are a religious group not an ethnic one.
