Isn't it true that cops can basically pull people over for any reason or no reason at all? Then they can?

just make up a reason why they pulled you over. So officer, why did you pull me over? "you were swerving, you were this, you were that, etc" when in all reality you were driving totally 100% fine, going the speed limit, using your turn signals properly, having all your break lights working, etc, but because cops can be such n**i stormtroopers, they can basically pull you over for NO REASON at all and then wind up giving you a ticket for something. What do you think about this? Has this ever happened to you? It has never happened to me, but has happened to many of my friends.

  1. definetly, yes.  Once a cop pulled me over for driving in the wrong lane??? in a one way highway??? that what i thought.  COmpletely random.  They are actually just trying to make their ticket cap for the month.  They have to get a certain number so that type of cracking down may be caused by that.

  2. I was pulled over once because my car fit the description of a hit and run car.  It wasn't me.  Sometimes they are just searching for a certain make, model, or color of vehicle that was involved in some other crime or episode.

  3. If they got a ticket for something, they were doing something wrong.  And they probably did something to arose the police suspicion.

People who obey the laws usually have nothing to fear.

  4. No, not any reason.  A specific reason pertaining to licensing, condition of vehicle, or driving.

  5. Once my husband and I were pulled over for speeding.  The speed limit was 55, and my husband had the cruise set exactly on 55.  I saw it with my own eyes.  He pulled us over and told us we were going 70 miles an hour!  I set him straight pretty quick, and he even apologized.  I told him he needed to take his radar to the shop. LOL

  6. Cops pull people over all the time for no reason and then the cops wonder why people have no respect for them.

Go to http://www.badcopnews.com and click any state and you will see how bad cops are. Check out california.

  7. Use your head, goober; if you had the authority to stop anyone who looked like a flake or if they were acting hinkey, wouldn't you do it?  Of course you would, now go eat your chicken strips and take a nap.

  8. If I have nothing to pull you over for, I don't waste my time doing so. There is ALWAYS a reason.  Stop breaking the law and you won't have to worry about it.

  9. Your friends are law breakers did you ever think of that. I'm 43 years old and NEVER have myself or any of my friends been pulled over for no reason. It's one of those Urban myths. Look at it like this: there are hundreds if not thousands of drivers in your town. You mean to say that an Officer will just pick you out of that crowd and decide to pull you over for no reason? Don't think so.

  10. I know I get very nervous when a cop is driving behind me or beside me.  I haven't even done anything wrong.  It's just that I'm worried about ... "What am I going to do wrong?"  It's kind of like sitting beside someone you know is watching you to see if you are driving right.

  11. yes they often make up some stupid excuse like, You swerved over the line, you forgot to put your turn signal on or the most used one driving while  black
