No, if you are as into arguing as I am they make good practice, if you haven't argued with someone in a while then you can grab one of your dumb friends and make sure your wit stays sharp and quick as a whip.

Its really quite frustrating and demeaning to do so. It can really get you down.

I learnt the hard way not to do that either. best way is to let them think they have their way. Just agree and walk off. At the end of the day it doesnt matter as they wont be happy either way but at least you didnt get abused too much.  Your own emotional health is far more important.
