Isn't it unethical for ebay to own paypal?

Ebay asked me to verify my phone number so I did. The second I did ebay blocked me from using my account. Said only one per household. But they didn't shut my husbands account down. Just mine. THEN, they email my buyers saying DONT complete the transactions because I am not longer a register user and that it is possible fraud. My buyers were allowed to file disputes right away and paypal is allowing every single one of them even though I provided tracking numbers. So now I have no items, no money and my paypal account is in the negative. People emailing me pissed. I am totally being scammed by ebay and paypal. What can be done besides a lawsuit. Lord knows They can afford a better attorney than I can?

  1. Yes! They do it to illegally scam people out of millions. you know, business is simply a way of doing illegal things legally. Ebay tried to steal 600 bucks from me, you know what I did, I didnt give them a cent, and of course what do they do, they send you to collections and ruin your credit, for not giving them money that doesnt belong to them.

  2. This might sound simple but why don't you and your husband share one e-bay account?

So what are you selling?  Maybe I would like to buy some without using e-bay?

I have always though it strange that e-bay and pay-pal are under the same company umbrella!  If e-bay purchased western union that would be another form of payment controlled by e-bay!

  3. d**n that sucks. What a rip off!

Save up and afford a better attorney. Or just get an attorney you can afford, and you may have such a good case there's no way they could beat you.

Best of luck. Hope things work out for you.

  4. I've been using ebay for 9 yrs, paypal for 8 (buying and selling) and have never had a problem - you must have violated some kind of policy of theirs
