Question:

Isn't it weird how the indy forum usally has like 5 questions?

but when the indy 500 comes around there are tons of fans. i like indy racing but i just dont see a whole month for a race. ( i know the daytona 500 hundred has a long beginning but that is before the season at least it is not in the middle of the season)

  1. What is this "Indy" that you speak of?

    No, seriously.  That doesn't surprise me at all.  American open-wheel racing is pretty much at an all-time low right now.


  2. not really.  i'll bet even the nascar forum slows down between big races and controversial events - it doesn't mean there are less fans or that those who do come on the boards during those times are "bandwagon fans" or anything like that.  it's that where there's smoke there's fire, and where there's fire, there's usually a whole bunch of people who like to stand around and watch, and talk about how it started.  and when there is no fire, there isn't so much to talk about, or people aren't as interested in talking about "no fires."

    make sense?  it did to me when i started, but now ... ;-)

    i like to consider myself an indy fan - i'm much more interested in nascar and watch all the coverage i can get there - but i don't care to watch all the indy races.  similarly, although i like basketball, football, and baseball, i generally don't pay all that much attention until the end of the season for each.
