Their image is romanticized, but they did steal, kill, rape.

It's as if, in 100 years, people will regard today's kidnappers and thieves as heroes.

  1. Hollywood has glamorized pirates for years, this is just the latest craze. However, historically some pirates started out as honorable men, seeking their fortunes on the seas. When they lost their ships and their fortunes, they turned to p****y to survive.

    During the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812 many American ship captains were labeled as "pirates" by the English Crown because they were blockade runners. They were bringing essential supplies past the English Naval blockade to the Americas.
