Gas prices stopped the whining about global warming.

Global warming stopped the whining about animal rights.

Animal rights stopped the whining about over population.

I wonder what people will whine and complain about next.

I'm still whining - not about gas prices, but I am whining about global warming, habitat destruction, overpopulation, etc, but no doubt, you are not the person that wants to hear about my ideas or care about my feelings.

You are right: liberal, conservative - the definition of these words change depending on the generation, the issue, the party and are used mostly just to sling mud at someone. For example, on the issue of overpopulation, I am a liberal - I believe we need to encourage contraception and a woman's choice - we need to make it easier for people to limit their reproduction activities;  but not by forcing unrealistic abstinence ideals and oppressive anti-choice options.  We need to also reward people who don't depend on government hand-outs (ie welfare) when they have children they can't afford or have time to raise properly.  So, yes, I can see where we might agree, but call it different names and methods to obtain the same goals.

Well forgive the rest of us poor working class folks, who for once would like to feel like we are getting ahead.  What are you, a millionaire?  You stop complaining about us complaining!  And as for over population - you probably don't believe in a woman's right to choose, so there you have it.  IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!
