Question:

Isn't my friend a too good girl?

I have a friend my age, 15. Best friend, I like her very much. But she's too good, too dependent on her parents, always obey even when she disagrees. This is good, but she exaggerates, as a teen she should be a bit rebellious. She's happy, good student, has fun, but has never had a bf. The kind of girl that kisses her parents everyday, goes out w/ them, is frequently w/ her mom. An incredible example: her mom makes her wear a kind of bra w/ much support she doesn't like, but her mom says she needs and is out of love. She complains but ended up promising she'd obey. Yesterday we were at my room w/ other girls. We took off our bras and told her to taker her off too. No problem, we were in my room, nothing wrong. But she said she had promised her mom she'd wear it. We laughed, said Ok, call your mom, tell her we're here and ask her to let you take it off. She ended up calling her, live voice, lol. Her mom said no Hun, w/ love, but said no. And she obeyed. A too good girl, I'm worried.

  1. WOW - I know, I have friends like that, afraid to do ANYTHING. It annoys me. Just tell her it's cool, her mom doesn't need to know. It's not like someone's going to walk in and start screaming that she took off the bra and call her mom.

I never get that close to people like that, they just - shudder - they just annoy me.

  2. Honestly if that's how she is happy let her go. It'll fade all too fast and her life will get hard. So if she loves her parents and obeys them support her and don't make things hard on her or make fun. In a perfect world kids were meant to be obedient.

  3. Well I think at the age of 15 she should go the other way.Away from her parents. She is acting like a 5 year old little girl would.K mommy Im ready for my bedtime story and make sure you tuck me and and shut my light off oh but make sure you leave the door open and a night light on.She is gonna live a sad lonely life. And when her parents die its gonna hit her hard. Not many 15 year olds are this close to their parents unless well they let their 15 year old run the show and do whatever they want. But this is odd.One day when she wants to really do something and she is told no then maybe the rebelious will come out.

  4. Hmm ok....

what kinds of friends are you?

And work on your wordiness a bit.

  5. I think there's nothing wrong with that. if she preached other people about being good, that's another story.

and I agree, work on your grammar...

  6. I think that listening if she disagrees is a problem, but the other things are fine. I'm never going to date anyone ever, I've been that way for two years, and that's just an example of how some people make decisions that are weird but are right for them. She just values and loves her parents a lot, and I guess she's so loyal to them because they're closer than most families. Unless her life is making her unhappy or like a robot, I think it's fine. :-)

  7. I dont think there is anything wrong with it, its just how she was raised. At least she's not into drugs or something.

    =)

  8. Why do you care. Your not the one who has to wear the bra or anything. Clearly she has no problem listening to her parents. She may not like the things they have her do...but she does like listening to them and there is no problem with that at all. You should just worry about your self and just let your friend be how she wants to be.

  9. Atleast she isn't a(n) exotic dancer, or once of these girls on here who are pregnant at 15. She's on the right path, if you ask me. And, she's only 15! She doesn't need a boyfriend.

  10. What's wrong with your friend obeying her mom? Those kind of people later get what they want from their parents. If I obeyed my mom I'd get a lot more freedom. I do think it was dumb that she called her mom to ask her something so silly, but why were you taking your bras off?Don't worry about your friend, she'll be fine and she'll have a boyfriend when she's ready.

  11. well im guessin dat ur friendz needz 2 go 2 da wild side and e stop be gud all of the tyme

  12. She's just a good girl by nature. If we had more girls like this in the world there probably wouldn't be 15 year old pregnant girls. You should just accept her the way she is, don't try to change her.

I agree with the other people--work on your grammar!

  13. I don't see anything wrong with it.  I'm 16.  i'm not that obedient, i at least try and figure out the reasons why my parents say stuff so i can begin to agree

But she's not doing anything harmful, so i dont see a problem
