Plain Black Coat (no hoodies allowed)

Plain Black Scarf and Gloves (for winter & no hats allowed)

Plain Black Hair Accessories

One Small Plain Gold or Silver Stud in each ear if you have earrings

No Other Jewellery

No Highlights allowed in hair

Black Umbrellas Only

P.E- (this is girls one- boys is basically rugby shirt instead of polo and black shorts.)

Pale Blue Polo Shirt with School Badge on

Grey Pleated Games Skirt

Plain Black Sweatshirt with School Badge on

Long Plain Blue Socks and shinpads for Football and Hockey.

Also, we are not allowed to take oor Blazers off in the summer or roll our sleeves up.

  1. not really if that is what it says the rules are

cos that's what my school says but they let you take off your blazer if its hot and that. and they aren't that bothered about some of the small things like coats

  2. It does seem a bit excessive, but count yourself lucky, when I was a teacher in Thailand the girls all had to have a regulation haircuit, a shoulder length bob, and the boys had to have a crew cut.

  3. No i would say that is pretty standard, mine was very similar to that but its not to say people actually only wore black coats and brought black umbrellas. After a while the school starts to care less, there just trying to get you into good habits early. Very few will keep to that exact list!

  4. I LIVE IN AMERICA. WE DONT HAVE TO WEAR UNIFORMS.

  5. only a tad, the last sentence is all i thought was idiotic!!

i take it you live in london or oxford? we have to wear the same thing but its a brown blazer and a yellow shirt.. also we're just aloud a 'sensible' bag..

anyway - its britain, get over it.

  6. ummmm not really lol my high school is like that n im in the uk..they wer gonna switch to blazers at one point but didnt..mines basically the same..at least its not like some other schools uniforms that ive seen like just a polo shirt which doesnt look as smart!

  7. Pssh get highlights. If they say why you have highlights in your hair, just say "No, I was having fun with my cousins and we poured lemon juice in our hair and ran in the sun." They cannot say that it is high lighted or not. Get it more natural looking.  Your school is wow. If you want to be your own person,  get your shirt 1 size smaller. Where your plain grey school skirt SHORT. Where your trousers with super flare or skinny haha. Add pretty designs to your black flat shoes. Don't wear a black umbrella.Opt for something black and white.  And having a blazer during the summer is a health concern. It will absorb heat and you can bring the health team to your school for help.

  8. Lmao

Remember when I was off to big school and I saw a list similar to yours and was like 'wtf, this is a bit OTT'. Haha

But then in the second year we all started to make it up as we went along. Lol. We slowly started to edit the uniform. Though we get sent home quite a bit.

    =)

  9. god that is so stupid. its sounds like an ok uniform, atleats its not green and yellow like one in manchester but the no hoods! like how are you supposed to keep the rain off u? and not allowed to take oyur blazor off, thats stuid too cos ull all be ill from heat.

are you allowed to wear make up? my school tried to stop us from wearing make up but it didnt work.

and it must cost a fortune buying all that.  i believe in school uniform but not that strict and posh.

at my school its everything black except a white shirt and a red tie. thats it so i cont myself lucky...

  10. It is a bit yeh - especially for P E

  11. Sounds good to me darling, I love girls in school uniform mmmmmmmm and your description got me really hard, would love to see you in it.

Think yourself lucky when I was at school the girls had to wear navy blue knickers too mmmmmmmmmmm

That memory has me dribbling lol

  12. WOW....so specific, well atleast people wont get confused but still, everything has to be black, why dont they just dye everyones hair black....

  13. I'm a teacher and I hate school uniform.

Fortunately I work in a VI form with no uniform, although we do have a dress code (no hoods up in class).

My school uniform was actually stricter than that. Navy blue, skirt HAD to be knee length. No trousers.

    Different tie in different years.

    Leather satchel.

And summer, well just be thankful you don't have to wear a pink gingham dress.

And no this wasn't a posh school it was a comprehensive.

I've never understood the uniform thing, it's not as if it's going to make you work better, be cleverer, behave better. And frankly as a teacher I'd rather teach than spend time telling people their skirt is too short of their shirt needs tucking in.

  14. Sounds kind of totalitarian if you ask me.

Sorry to hear you have to go through that.
