Isn't standing in the corner for 60 days abusive punishment ?

That is very bad, and yes it is. hope it didn't happen to you. i had a hard time with 20 min oh well, hope this helps

my legs would get so tired, they would fall off.  That would be very abusive.

Not only abusive, but stupid... however, if one is trying to develop a subservient child filled with rage... then this punishment should work.

But as that parent, I would not sleep too soundly...

That is child abuse. I am a mandated reporter and that would be something that I would feel obligated to tell social services.

O goodnes yes!  Standing in the corner for more than 10 minutes is abusive punishment.  I minute per year of age, unless they get out, then time starts over.  60 DAYS!?  Someone needs put away!  I found out my sitter was making my daughter at age 4 sit in time out on the coffee table the whole time she was there, around 8 hours and then eating her dessert I packed in her lunch as further punishment.  I took her away from that abuse so fast.  It's sick how people treat children!

Uh probably so, but that is a ridiculous thing to do and I think you know the answer to that before you even asked.  If anything it's physically and emotionally draining.
