Isn't the Question NOT Palin's life but MCCAIN's decision-making?

Why would he choose someone with so many distracting issues?

Yes, his decision making looks pretty bad thus far.

Sarah Palin is under investigation by the Alaska state legislature for possible abuse of her power in connection with trying to pressure and then firing the Director of Public Safety to fire her ex-brother-in-law who was involved in a nasty custody battle and divorce with her sister.

She has been governor for 1 year and 8 months and her foreign policy experience apparently consists of knowing the location of the Canadian border.  I saw McCain's people and Republican talking heads trying to say "Sarah Palin has been the Commander-in-Chief of the Alaska National Guard' with a straight face.  It was a pisser.  

Then, if the McCain campaign knew as they claim, they failed to disclose her daughter's pregnancy when Palin was announced as McCain's choice and only did so when pics of Bristol appearing pregnant hit the net.  They thereby caused the story to be much bigger than it would otherwise been and caused Bristol's private life to become the subject of headlines when it would have been much less sensational had they been up front in the first place.  And now they have the gall to chastise the media when it was their own incompetence that brought about the media attention?  lol.  If they didn't know and are trying to save face, then their vetting process was incompetent.

Any way you slice it, McCain's pick of Palin has been a huge distraction for his campaign thus far and has put them on the defensive and taken them completely off message at the start of the Republican National Convention.

Why do narrow minded dems seem to be too distracted....obama said kids were off limits rememder he is the son of a 18 year old mother born out of wed lock.

Don't get me started on the clintons again.

Based on her standing she is the right choice.
