  1. salaam alaikum.

no it's nothing Islamic. he just wasted money by building that thing and then he cut off  hands of all workers. but it's not a hindu thing either.

but now that thing has become a darga. people go and pray to it. people i refer to call them selves Muslims but they are'nt cuz they're doing Shirk.

  2. It is totally un-Islamic for a King to build a tomb for his wife that is  World's wonder by spending huge resources of the country  whereas

people are very poor and lots of them starved during his kindgom.

Islam says there can we can put a stone with name  on the head side of the grave and nothing else should be permanent.

Jews do it right.  They put a name plate only and always make the grave flat with ground.

  3. It's true that a muslim built it, but it doesn't have anything to do with religion.

  4. It's a symbol of love not a hindu thing Lol and built by a muslim for his wife. It isn't a shrine or anything just a beautiful building made by a loving husband for his wife...if only i had some1 to do that for me Lol...maybe=)......Unlikey=(

  5. Taj Mahal is not an islamic thing

    1. It was build for the love of human being  and not Allah swt

    2. it was build by workers who are treated like slaves

    3. Ton of money that should be use for jihad

  6. The Taj Mahal is like a giant Tomb for the favorite wife of a king. It has an accompanying mosque. So, yes, I guess its a Muslim thing, however, I don't see anything godly about the amount of money spent to build it...that could have fed sooooo many people, so it isn't a holy sight or anything, just a great piece of architecture and a sweet love story.

  7. I dont know it's an islamic thing but it was built by a muslim in memory of his favorite wife and her name was Mumtaz Mahal. it is considered the jewel of muslim art. Which i think is so sweet and very romantic ;)

  8. It WAS built by a muslim and it was a  tomb for shah jahan's wife. At the time it was built pakistan and india were one country called Hindustan. After their independence the Taj Mahal was in an area belonging to India, therefore it is in India. However is no way a hindu thing. It is a popular tourist attraction and expresses shah jahans endless love for his wife.

  9. Bismillahi Rahmani Rahim

    Salaam Alaikum wa Rahmatullah.

The Taj Mahal was built by a Muslim but in no way is it an "Islamic" thing.  It actually is forbidden in Islam to put buildings over graves:

`Ali b. Abi Talib asked me, “Shall I not send you to do what the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) sent me to do?—That you leave no figure except that you erase it, nor an elevated grave except that you level it.”

Imam Muslim also narrated via Jabir that he said, “The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) forbade the plastering of graves, sitting on them, or building over them.”

So you see that what Shah Jehan did was incorrect.  A Muslim who fears Allah and believes in the Last Day should not visit the Taj Mahal because this is a way of showing approval for something that was forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him.  And Allah knows best.
