  1. me neither

  2. Good point. But as I remember George W. had military experience and look at how stretched our military is now. With no real end in sight.

Before you start with the are military is doing alright. I agree they are holding their own. But why in this day and age would the military be advertising in Spanish to enlist troops if they weren't hurting for recruits?

  3. That's what generals are for.

I don't want Obama either, but for MUCH better reasons than this.

  4. i know where your going with this. but dont worry. the president cant declare war.  and he is very limited to what he can do. but yes he is the commander in chief.

  5. Though I am not voting for obama, I disagree. It takes more than military experience to run a country...

  6. exactly thats why mccain should be president.. obama doesnt even salute the flag and doesnt pledge i wouldnt wanna pledge him.. and how safe would you feel with a commander in chief that doesnt wanna protect the US .. thats why its called homeland security...

  7. It's 3 am, the phone rings.

"President Obama, civil war has broken out in Russia and a fringe group has procured a nuclear weapon. What should we do?"

Obama: "I would like to vote present, please."

  8. Excellent point and one that should be shouted from the rootops."community organizer" is a far cry from military leader.

  9. You're just a racist.  When Obama is president he will change it to organizer in chief.

  10. I agree with you.  As commander in chief the President is in command of all US troops both at home and abroad.  In this day and age we need a president that has great leadership and knows how to be a commander.

  11. i agree, that's why i like this:

  12. Well all republicans is ex military. Bush was in the Air Force, McCain was a POW for 5 years.  Democrats are idiots with no military.

  13. That is why the President has the Joint Chiefs of Staff......to advise him when necessary

Historically, ex-military men often made the worst Presidents..... military experience is not a critical asset when selecting a president

EDIT: In this election there are a host of pertinent issues.....important issues on which to base your selection

I do not think having or not having military experience is a criticaL factor

I am NOT an Obama fan....I think he is the absolute worst choice...... even worse than Hillary.....but NOT because he did not serve in the military

  14. the idea of making the prez the CinC was exactly so that a civilian would be at the very top of our military.
